Landscaping for this project was completed in two stages, front and back. Works in the front yard consisted of soft landscaping to finish off renovation works by the owner. The clients’ preference was for neat and tidy native shrubs and groundcovers for their low water requirement.
The backyard required a more extensive upgrade as the space was uninviting and overwhelming for the clients. A concept design was devised which would create a more inviting, usable and maintainable space within a reasonable budget. Works included paving a large level outdoor lounge area, surrounded by native shrubs and ground covers. We were able to repurpose a largely unused and overgrown lower garden terrace by incorporating an informal meandering pathway, again surrounded by native shrubs, creating a connection to the bushland behind.
Noteworthy plants featured throughout this landscaping project include callistemon, grevilleas, banksias, hardenbergias, gazanias and kangaroo paws.
