To compliment the immaculate Californian Bungalow, the clients requested a complete new cottage-style garden, suitable for their young family. The main element requested by the client was to incorporate recycled bricks into the landscaping. These were featured in different aspects such as the long paved driveway, footpaths and brick garden edging.
The clients also requested a large expanse of level lawn areas, front and back, for the children and pets. Some of the original plants were retained as they held sentimental value, such as camellias and roses. Many of the new plants throughout the gardens were chosen to compliment, such as gardenias, hydrangeas, salvias, magnolias, to create a low maintenance, child and pet friendly cottage garden.
